Fence Construction Sales Consultant

Compensation and Benefits  

 

  • Incentive-based compensation, determined by the success of the individual Sales Consultant. Average yearly compensation is $50K to $100K+. 
  • Includes Training Pay of $500/week for the first four weeks, then after the first four weeks of employment the role is fully commission-based 
  • Additional monthly bonus opportunities

About this Role  

 

The Sales Consultant at Stand Strong Fencing drives new sales of residential and commercial fence construction projects. Each sales team member is expected to: 

 

  • Learn and adopt the Stand Strong Fencing structured sales process and complete required training 
  • Develop expertise in product knowledge, technical knowledge, industry knowledge, and process knowledge in relevant product areas 
  • Expertly consult with clients and present the features and benefits of Stand Strong Fencing as a business, along with its products and services 
  • Continually prospect for new customers through networking, referrals, and other organic lead generation strategies, and effectively follow-up with prospects to win new business 
  • Set and maintain the required number of sales appointments to meet or exceed sales goals and confirm and qualify booked appointments 
  • Generate accurate estimates and professionally and comprehensively present proposals to property owners and their representatives 
  • Perform lead generation strategies and activities 
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of marketplace, competitors, and industry trends to identify new business opportunities 
  • Develop and present product references and reference documents to customers 
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize sales calls and appointments 
  • Work with install team leaders to understand, explain, and analyze client requirements 
  • Address potential client queries in a timely and professional manner 
  • Perform basic record keeping and data entry to ensure proper tracking of sales and client needs/inquiries 
  • Interact with clients and co-workers in a kind and professional manner 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Other Requirements  

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, business, or communications is a plus 
  • Consistent record of high sales achievement 
  • 2+ years sales experience in home services, construction, or a related industry is a plus 
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with the internet and modern software applications 
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal oversight 
  • Ability to treat others with respect and gain trust and respect from subordinates and supervisors 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license 

 

Physical Requirements  

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: 

  • Occasionally be out in the community knocking on doors and engaging with owners. 
  • Stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; push; pull; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. 
  • Work outside in the elements during each season 
  • Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 100 lbs. 
  • Be able to drive a motor vehicle for extended time periods.
