Job Description

Description We are in search of a Controller to join our team located in Glendale, California. The primary role will be to oversee the daily accounting functions, lead financial reporting and planning, manage cash flows, and provide strategic financial insights. The Controller will also be responsible for a range of human resources tasks including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and training and development. Responsibilities: - Oversee the daily operations of accounting, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting - Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements - Analyze financial data for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis - Develop and enforce internal controls to maintain the security and integrity of financial systems - Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance and risk mitigation during audits - Monitor company cash flows and working capital, reporting KPIs to senior leadership - Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial insight on growth initiatives, acquisitions, or investments - Manage hiring processes, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding of new employees - Develop strategies to engage and retain employees through mentoring, detail oriented certification programs, and contract talent utilization - Act as a key liaison for employee concerns and conflict resolution - Oversee performance evaluation processes, ensuring goals align with corporate objectives - Ensure HR compliance with labor laws, OSHA regulations, and benefit plan requirements - Update and implement company policies to reflect changes in legislation or organizational needs - Manage payroll processes aligned with financial goals and administer employee benefits programs effectively - Create programs to upskill and reskill employees, fostering continuous learning and career growth - Lead initiatives for detail oriented certifications and HR analytics tools such as Workday or SHRM-CP certification.
